Grandma and Grandpa

After Jack was born the plan was for Jill's mom to stay with us for about a week and then for Chris's mom to stay for a week and then we would be ready to be parents on our own! Well, Jill's mom stayed for a week after we came home and then reluctantly returned to Knoxville. However, Chris's mom did not get a whole week because she had to take care of Chris's dad who fell and broke his arm. They were leaving a restaurant at night and Dad (now known as Grandpa) tripped over a curb in the parking lot which was painted black?? Who does that? That was so irresponsible to paint a curb black. Aren't they supposed to be yellow or white or something? I don't really know, but it just seemed crazy to me. Anyway, that happened over the weekend so Chris's mom did not get to come last Monday as planned. Instead her and dad showed up on Thursday and stayed through last Sunday. They enjoyed playing grandparents even though grandpa couldn't hold Jack. He had to adore him from a distance. But, Jack liked him even though he couldn't be held by him. It was great to have grandma and grandpa here to play with Jack and rock him to sleep! We've now been on our own for almost a whole week and feel that we are surviving quite well! Although, it's Friday and Jill's parents are here again (just for one night). They went to Tunica, MS for a concert and some gambling fun! Isn't it convenient for them that their grandson is located on their way home! I'm thankful they are here because maybe tonight Chris and I can get a little more sleep than normal! Here is a picture of the adoring grandma and grandpa playing with Jack!
