Well, we are one day shy of being parents for 2 weeks and what an adventure it has been so far!
There has not been one dull moment as we try to get to know Jack and he tries to get to know us. Jack is growing like crazy! At his one week check up with the doctor, he weighed 8 pounds (he was 7 lbs. 12 oz. at birth and they only expected him to have re-gained his birth weight). So, no problems there. 4 days later Jill had a visit with a lactation consultant and he was up to 8 lbs. 7 oz. We can tell that he is growing every day as he face fills out and some of his clothes actually start to fit him. Jack loves to sleep, but he is starting to be awake more and more every day! That is exciting for us because when he is awake he loves to just hang out. He is a very cuddly baby. Jill's mom was here to help us out the first week but went home this past Saturday. Chris's mom was supposed to come help this week, however his dad broke his arm so his mom hasn't been able to come yet. So,
we're doing this whole parent thing on our own now, with a little help from Murphy of course. Our precious dog gets most concerned when he hears Jack crying. He just looks at us as if to say, "Aren't you going to do something?" It's pretty entertaining for us. That's it for our exciting news. We know you mostly only care about the pictures, so we'll make this one short.
