Greensboro......that is. Last Thursday Jack got to take his first plane ride to Greensboro, NC for an annual family reunion with Chris's family. We flew on a new airline, Skybus. Here is a picture of Jack getting ready for the flight with the big orange plane in the background. Jack did great on the flight despite having an ear infection. He fell asleep so that helped. But, that meant he missed all the excitement of flying. Oh well.......there would be the return trip for him to enjoy.

Here is a picture of granddaddy Kirby, the man responsible for the whole family get together. He was thrilled to have all of his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids in one place for a few days. It is so neat to watch him enjoy his family that is constantly growing. He is now up to 8 great grandkids with another due in January. Crazy!

Jack really enjoyed all of the time he got to spend with his cousins. They were all there, but I didn't get that many pictures. Here are the pictures of all of Jack's 1st cousins (who also happen to be our wonderful nieces and nephew). Here we are with Grace who is so special. I can't believe how grown up she is becoming (she will be 4 in December). She loves Jack and was very helpful always giving him his pacifier.

Then comes Amelia. It was absolutely adorable to hear Amelia say Jack. She mastered his name by the end of the weekend saying it very quick and very forcefully. Wish I could type it the way she says it. But, just take my word for it....it's adorable.

And, last but not least here is Jack with Aunt Kim and Luke. And, my newest niece is in the picture too, but she won't make her appearance for another few months. Jack enjoyed having Luke around. He even learned a new sound from Luke, the "ba" sound which Luke says quite a lot. We are so excited that he has a boy to play all those "boy" games with. I can tell they are going to be big buddies. And, that is exciting.

One funny story from the weekend came on Saturday. We were flying out Saturday night so we had to check out of our hotel room at noon. But, Jack still needed an afternoon nap. Amelia and Luke also needed afternoon naps and didn't have a hotel room either. So, all 3 kids went to sleep in Uncle Floyd and Aunt Linda's room. This was pretty funny because we just knew that they would all keep each other awake. The sleep lasted about 45 minutes and then our son, Jack decided to wake up. Well, Aunt Kim was in there and she was able to get his pacifier back in his mouth quick enough that he went back to sleep. Unfortunately it wasn't quick enough to keep Amelia and Luke asleep. So, they both woke up and Jack went on to sleep for about another hour. Hmm....my kid woke everyone up but still got his nap. Oops! But, it didn't seem like the other 2 were in a terrible bad mood or anything like that.
Our plane trip home went great too. It was pretty crazy because we were supposed to leave G'boro at 6:30, but our flight was delayed almost 2 1/2 hours. So, we had lots of quality family time in the airport together. We were just getting on the plane at the time Jack normally goes to bed. He fell asleep before we boarded but woke up pretty quickly. I was so amazed at how pleasant he was. He was looking around and flirting with EVERYONE! But, his favorite person was this man who was sitting behind us and we couldn't figure it out for anything. He was a very average looking man, but Jack just kept looking at him and grinning with his whole face. He was smiling at him even when the man was paying no attention to Jack. It was pretty funny if you ask me. But, atleast he was entertained. Good weekend, good flight, and I think we're finally recovered from the trip. I actually got around to unpacking my suitcase this morning :-)

On the way home from the airport Amelia even made up her own Baby Jack song: "Baby Jack, Baby Jack, Baby Jaaaaaack." She was really thrilled to see Jack and Luke (who is mostly still known just as "Baby," for some reason).
