A Good Treat for Us

So, yesterday (Friday) I worked all day. When I left for work, everything was normal with the day...Jack and Chris were both still asleep. Ha! Jack was scheduled to go to Ms. Emily's house but when I called Chris on my lunch break I found out that Jack was with Chris because 3 out of 5 people in Ms. Emily's family were throwing up. Anyway, this meant that we didn't spend money for our daytime babysitter yesterday. So, my amazing husband took it upon himself to make sure that money got spent! Last night we actually got to GO to a movie in a theater on a date. We put Jack to bed last night and then Kacey (a girl in our youth group) came over and stayed at our house while we went to a late movie at our dollar theater (it's actually $2 on Friday/Sat.) Kasey had the easiest babysitting job ever and we had a great little date. I know this isn't the most amazing news for our blog readers, but it was just a lot of fun for us. We saw the movie, Juno. If you can get through some of the unnecessary language it's actually a really good movie. Funny, sarcastic, and real all at the same time. It was a great start to what has so far been a great weekend.

Today we haven't done anything too spectacular. We worked on a few projects around the house and this afternoon went for a walk and played at the park. The weather is finally warming up here. Today was very nice outside, thankfully. We hosted our small group from church at our house tonight for a cookout. So, we were glad the weather cooperated!

Jack loved going down the slide with his daddy today, but as soon as he was done...he wanted to be on the basketball court (that's where he is pointing). As a matter of fact, he points out every single basketball goal on our walks.How could anyone resist this sweet little face?Here's our little goof ball...you can kind of see his teeth in this picture. He's getting 2 more on top right now (fun for us...I mean that very sarcastically).
