He's Back!!

As most of you may know, our little man has had a constant ear infection since September. It's been doctor visit after doctor visit and antibiotic after antibiotic to the point where we are just so terribly sick of it! Well, hopefully today was an end to this little chapter! It was tube day!!!

Jack was great the whole time leading up to surgery (except for that he kept asking for food). The surgery was supposed to be at 9, but our doctor was running late because of the snow. It would happen that we would have snow on this very important day! I think he was back by about 9:45 or maybe it was closer to 10. It's really just all a blur to me. The surgery lasted about 8 minutes and then the doctor came out to talk to us. Jack pulled through like a champion but poor little man had a TON of fluid and puss and junk behind his little ear drum. This is definitely going to make a big difference for him. I just can't imagine what he has been going through constantly.

Finally, the nurses came to get us and Jack was in major distress. He was just crying and crying and crying and crying and crying and crying and wouldn't stop even when I held him. I think he was convinced he was going to get taken away from us again. And, I know he had to have felt weird after the anesthesia. He didn't stop crying until we pulled into our driveway at home. Then, he took a little nap and woke up starving. He ate TWO grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch. This afternoon he was pretty lazy for the most part but by this evening, he was back in full force! Thought you would enjoy these pictures of him playing train engineer at his table tonight......We're glad that our healthy little guy is back.......at least we're keeping our fingers crossed!!!
