Money, Money, Money!

Right now the 3 of us are in Nashville at Lipscomb University for Impact with our teenagers. We have been here since last Friday. On Saturday, Jack and I drove to Chattanooga for a baby shower in honor of the newest member of our family, baby Hutch! Hutch belongs to my wonderful cousin Tracey who shares my birthday with me! Hutch came 3 days after our shared birthday. He apparently didn't get the memo about the day to be born! Oh well!

On our way to Chattanooga, we got to stop and see Nana which is always a treat!Jack was excited to meet Baby Hutch but he was more excited about playing with his cousin, Brody. These 2 boys were hilarious the whole day. They crawled on the floor in a circle around my aunt and uncles' house playing trucks for what seemed like forever. They pretty much just ignored all the people that were there for the shower.Well, for most of the day my dad and uncle hung out in this office/playroom with the kids to play with toys. At one point after most of the guests left, we weren't hearing or seeing Jack and Brody. My cousin went to look for them in the office and my dad was sitting in there watching golf but there were no kids around. This is where we found them:They got into Aunt Carol and Uncle Paul's money stash. It started out very innocently as they were transferring money from the yellow box to the ceramic house to use it like a piggy bank. Then, it progressively got worse. These pictures do not do this justice. It especially got bad when Jack dumped the whole box onto the floor to empty it out. There were coins everywhere! And, my little boy could not have been any prouder of himself for his accomplishment. The boys did help clean up a little but I think Aunt Carol and Uncle Paul are going to be finding pennys everywhere for a long time to come.I'll try to post more about our week later!

How funny! Luke would have been right there with them. He loves coins. We had a lot of fun with Jack this past week, and it was great seeing you and Chris, too!
