The inside didn't count!

So, haven't you always been told that it's the inside the counts? Well, it wasn't true for Jack yesterday! We had our easter egg hunt and festivities at church yesterday which was a lot of fun despite the yucky weather outside (rain and some snow flurries). The weather didn't seem to stop the Indiana natives from coming out. We had over 500 people at our egg hunt which was great since our normal Sunday morning attendance runs between 350 and 400.

Anyway, for the first time in his life....Jack demonstrated fear. He was scared of the Easter Bunny. Never mind that he knew the person on the inside of the easter bunny costume and usually loves him.....he was just not having it! It's usually so easy to get Jack to smile, but after trying everything, no one could get him to smile even though we made the easter bunny smile. Then, there was another easter bunny walking around the festivities who had the real costume on where you couldn't even see his face. That one absolutely freaked Jack out. He cried if the guy even came near him.
As far as hunting eggs, this is probably the last year that Jack won't care about what's on the inside! That's great for us because Jack got us lots of good candy and he didn't even know it! We showed him how to pick up the eggs and put them in the bucket one time and he went to town. He filled his entire bucket in probably less than a minute. That was good because we were so ready to go inside! It was really cold!
After we got home, Jack has a blast playing with all the empty eggs! It pretty much kept him entertained all afternoon.
Here is Jack playing the Ring Toss game at the egg hunt (they kind of let him cheat). He's playing with Lilly, one of his many girlfriends. Ms. Emily (she keeps Jack when I work) also keeps Lilly on some of the days she has Jack so they really enjoy playing together!
Jack was pretty worn out from the festivities of the day....so here he is taking in some basketball with his daddy!
