Project LIFE Week 41

Week 41 of the year? Already? Wow.....time is flying by! Only 11 more weeks (give or take) of being pregnant for me!!! Wahoo!

So, this week I was a little better at taking pictures however several of them are on my phone and then Chris went to Chicago this weekend with the teenagers and took the camera so I missed a lot of great times. So sad!

But, here is what I do have:

Chris had meetings this past week on Monday and Tuesday nights. So, Jack and I spent a lot of the evenings outside enjoying our incredible fall weather! We had a lot of fun decorating our sidewalk and driveway with drawings for Halloween. Here is Jack with his LARGE Jack-o-lantern: And, I bet you'll never guess what this is.......it's a witch (but don't worry Jack informed me that she was a nice witch with a really big head apparently):On Wednesday we went to the Children's Museum for the morning but I didn't grab my camera because seriously.....how many pictures have I taken at the Children's Museum? Well, I should have had it because they had all their Halloween decorations and there were some pretty funny poses made by Jack. There was also a new temporary exhibit with polar bears and penguins. You should have seen Jack sliding down the penguin slide on his belly and then getting up to waddle like a penguin. He also got pretty cozy in the polar bear den. Wednesday night we went to church as usual and got home and put Jack in the bed and all was normal......until 2:30 am when I woke up to Jack coughing/crying in his room. I went in there just to find that he had thrown up everywhere! I'll spare you all the details but he threw up almost constantly until 1:30 or 2 on Thursday afternoon. He was feeling much better by that evening and able to keep dinner down. I went on to work on Thursday and Chris stayed home with Jack. Here is how I found him when I got home.....A little bit pitiful if you ask me! But, enjoying the fact that he got to watch T.V. in our bed a lot on Thursday!

Chris left for Chicago on Friday afternoon. Jack refused to nap for me on Friday afternoon so instead we headed to the zoo for ZooBoo. No camera but lots of fun! And, I do want to note this because it's crazy to me. Jack wanted to race the cheetah.....it costs $0.50 and I happened to have 2 quarters in my pocket so I let him. They take your picture while running and I thought to myself.....hmm.....maybe I will buy that picture. Um....NO WAY! $13 for a 3 1/2 by 5 picture (not even in any kind of cardboard frame.....JUST the picture). What a rip off! Next time I'll remember my camera and 2 quarters and let him do it again. His face while running is actually quite intense.

Saturday we were pretty lazy....sleeping in, running a few errands, lunch at Chick-fil-a, playing at the park in the afternoon. It was a great day but we sure missed daddy! We're happy to report that the teens mini-mission to Chicago went really well though.
